Discussing HR policies and backpay loophole

Proposal: To approve 3 differnet types of payment procedures: 1) Normal Payment procedure (2-3 weeks – payroll processes) 2) Expidted Payment Procedure (faster, not the normal process 1-2 weeks) 3) Emergency Payment Procedue – that skips most steps 24-72 hours to complte.
Details: Types of Payment models (based on speed)
Details: 1) Normal Procedure Typical payroll that happens monthly, when workers do the normal payroll (extra paymetns added to normal payroll process)
Details: 2) Expidited Procedure Like indivual payroll or remburment, or other payments that follow a process seperate form our normal payroll and can go faster
Details: 3) Emergency Procedure Payment takes top priority for the organization, and is addressed immeidatly within 24-72 hours with executive oversight.
Details: Workers and indivuals control the type of proposal they are making, and the team can NOT question the proposal, but if they feel someone is abusing their use of emergency procedure, they can vote no. No requirement to ask why? Not allowed.

Details: For Expidited proedures the team and organiztaion has complte control, for emergency procedures the Executive, centor, co-chairs, and other executives can make executive decisions to send money without final organizational oversight, typically with a minimum of 25-50% of total being immeidatly sent depending on the amount.
?’s: emergency proposals are allowed, but is it against policy? Not against Policy to do an emrgency paymetn proposal
Concerns: Technially because the HR Board is NOT approving the paymetn, there is a potential loophole that the paymetns are NOT approved in the budget which is requried, unless there is retoactive approal by the HR Board the next month

The proposal looks good. Just a suggestion: I was thinking maybe there should be a limit to backpay given, or a certain percentage of the pay rate should be given when backpay is requested.

Maybe that it could be against policy to propose more than a certain % of your pay rate. Maybe that would work?

Also I think I messed up the proposal regarding how even emergency procedures once no longer emergency still need to follow the regular process.

Yeah I think that would work.

<@873587191081746452> It will be an interesting main session for sure, but overall my biggest concern is the devolution of the team as a whole. We are alreqdy barley together at all, and now the diferection is further from focusing on woek and client work than ever before. Instead of talking about woek we are focusing on money payments and backpay again. But this time instead of just money we have devolved into discussing ending our basic accountability measures including proposal to get rid of all pay stops and get rid of all backpay. Basically there is no motivation to do any work let alone all the work which is what is required to get paid under our policies. So instead of focusing on doing work to get paid, the focus is now on getting rid of policies to get paid. So for me this is really not good that we are focusing so much on backpay and completely ignoring the backpay loophole since the Hr board is approving the backpay reviews. And then on top of that we are discussing going against policies and core values as well as lots of other issues. One thing is for sure the team is not listening to me, so I really don’t know what will happen, but I do think the disscussion overall is healthy and empowering, but unless we address these loopholes and ensure we get focused on work this could easily divulge into a corruptible outcome. We shall see.

Obviously this is not good. the team really needs to step up and get focused to do the necessary work. if the discussion is healthy then the necessary work should be done otherwise it is futile. hopefully we get passed this and start doing the necessary.
